What Should I Tell Our Kids?

Hey You, So, I have a question for you… What Should I Tell Our Kids? I sat at the large dining table that always felt too small whenever you were seated there. I held the hot cup of coffee in my hand and looked out the window. Our girls were playing basketball with their brother and that made me smile. It also made me sad because I didn't know how I was going to tell them that their daddy was not coming home. How do you explain death to children that are younger than ten years? I know the world has really advanced ...

Gratitude (2016)

I wasn’t going to write an end of the year post cause I honestly didn’t know where and how to start. I still don’t. A lot of amazing things have happened this year that I have found it hard to translate my gratitude to words. So, I just let God listen to my heart. But unfortunately, I can’t do that with you guys. So, I must write. I am really going to try my possible best to start from somewhere and be as concise as possible. Forgive me if I end up being all over the place. The bible verse that ...

Coffee and God.

One of my weaknesses is coffee. I would sometimes take coffee, especially Cappuccino, not because I need it but because I absolutely love the smell and taste of fresh coffee. I find it refreshing in a weird way and the bitter taste of coffee (I prefer it with little cream and without sugar) just makes me happy. Café Nero decided to feed my bad habit by opening a branch on Campus. I already `frequented the place a lot before a branch was opened on campus, but bringing a branch to school just escalated how much I frequented Café Nero. Sometimes, ...

The poor man and his opinion.

Hi loves. I hope we had a good weekend and are looking forward to having an awesome week. Today's piece was written by our very own Smish. Have a good read and kindly share. Thanks! ** I take a book with me almost everywhere I go, and today wasn't any different. This is mainly because I have this sad but unintended situation of finding myself in marginally uninteresting to utterly boring places, complete with personalities to match. Needless to say, I am a very interesting person and I love to have fun. As usual, I stepped inside my PPA (Place of Primary Assignment-NYSC) ...

All the voices in my head.

Hi Guys! I am sure most of us were aware of the trend on twitter regarding females knowing how to cook or not. Some tweets that I saw got me angry enough to give my own opinion regarding the subject. I know the topic is no longer trending, but I will just leave my opinion out there. Happy reading! ** I understand that Ochuko stepped on some people’s toes through his last post and I applaud him for it. Yes, I am in full support of him stepping on your toes and infact, I just might step on your toes as well ...

This is for us.

We’re not anti-social; we’re just differently social. – Susan Cain. ‘How are you doing?’ he asked her though they had not spoken in years ‘I am fine’, she replied rather reluctantly. She wondered why he was messaging her. ‘So do you party a lot? He further questioned. ‘Err… No’, she said rolling her eyes in her mind’s eye. ‘Why would you message someone after a long while and ask the stupid question’, she thought and decided against talking to him in the future. ‘So what do you now do for fun?’ he interrupted her thoughts She read the message and left it unanswered. ‘What a stupid statement’, I ...
