Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! It’s friday and we are all alive anxiously waiting for the day to be over so we can have a relaxed day tomorrow. I read something sometime this week about skinny ladies being preferred to plus size ladies because skinny ladies look better and in my mind, I was like ‘what century is this person?’ If that statement was made about a decade or two ago, I might have agreed with you but these days, you really don’t want to try ladies that have a little more flesh.
Not everyone wants to be skinny and who even cares if you are skinny or fat. As far you know how to carry yourself and you find the right person for you, you are good to go girl. Truth is, whether skinny or fat, you are already elegant and fabulous and you can dress so beautifully without exposing cleavages and showing unnecessary skin like most these days. So my darling PLUS SIZE ladies, It’s your week here on MSB FASHION!!!! We will be sharing simple tips with you. Guys!!! don’t run away yet. You can also help pass on these tips to that beautiful plus size lady whose self-confidence is being injured because of her size. And don’t worry guys, we will have something for you soon.
Simple Fashion Tips:
In this fashion and you, we talked about the importance of knowing your size. If you are not sure of your size, you can easily go to a tailor to get you measured. Clothes that are too big can actually make you look larger and sloppy. Clothes that are too small can make you look uncomfortable and trust me, no one wants to see your undergarments. Your main focus when buying womens plus size clothing is to create a trimmer silhouette that makes the eye go up and down, instead of side to side.
For this you need to pay attention to what details you put on your body frame and how you combine the colors of your outfit.
Tip 3: Trend thoughtfully!
Every trend is not made for every body. Make sure the clothes you choose compliment your curves and accentuate the positives.
Tip 4: Don’t underestimate your undergarments!
Undergarments are so important for women with curves. Do not skimp on them. Invest in a high-quality, supportive bra that will do your girls justice. Also, a smoother bra will make any outfit look better.
Tip 5: Say “Yes” to lingerie.
Say yes to lingerie. You will love yourself in it, and so will your partner. Just because you’re full size doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear lace and satin. Sexiness is found in all sizes, so for married folks, slip into bed with a nighty, not a tee shirt.
Tip 6: Accessories make the outfit.
Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! Accessories make an outfit, so make sure you splurge on them. Jewelry, scarves, purses and — my favorite — shoes! Shoes can make an outfit too. Choose a bold look and you’ll be sure to make a statement. Compared to petites you have more space to work with and you can handle bigger details, however, it’s extremely important that you select details that are scaled to your body size. Because if you for example put on a dainty necklace, you’ll emphasize your large proportions. But on the other hand, you can strategically put on a couple of extra necklace layers to create a fuller look that complements your body scale.
Tip 7: New hair, new you!
A woman’s hair is her glory, so make sure you take care of it. Find a great stylist and choose a look that compliments your bone structure. Play with color, curls and ponytails. If you’re in a rut, a new hair style can be a great pick me up.
Tip 8: Wear the right makeup.
Your face is the first thing a person notices, at least it will be if you wear the right makeup! After a certain age makeup shouldn’t be optional. You don’t have to have a full face on daily, but please do put on eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss.
Ladies, I know how frustrating it can be when you go to a store and you try on so many clothes that do not fit. Panic no more!! That’s why we have tailors! More tailors are making clothes for plus size ladies and the amazing thing is, they can help you fit that clothe you just couldn’t help but buy in a store to suit your size and shape.
I would also recommend that you rather go to stores than shop online. Although online shopping has made life easier for us, you might need to try on some clothes to see its fitting. some clothes will look very nice online but when you wear them, you wonder why you ever bought them. While some might look really fuggly but enhance your appearance when they are worn. So i would advice you let Jumia and Konga handle your accessories, bags and all but not mainly your clothes.
