‘Our platform, your platform’ is the slogan of this blog and it’s a slogan that is not just there for show. The board of trustees for this blog are looking for more people to join our community by sharing something (s) on this blog. Our invitation has been honored by some and to those who are yet to honor it, we hope you will.
Esther Babalola, a rather kind young lady sent me this article that I think is worth posting. I think this is going to be her first published work, so kindly encourage this brave young lady by commenting and sharing. Biko, don’t ignore me. Cheers!
We are starting a series on the blog this week. So kindly get back on this page tomorrow so I can tell you all about the series. I also have good news about my book to share with you next week. It’s going to be a lovely year loves.
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? ~ Jeremiah 32: 27
- Beware of False Prophets: Pharaoh’s wise men, sorcerers and magicians could also perform the same miracle as Moses and Aaron (of course, God used them); casting down their rods and their rods turning into serpents ( Exodus 7:11). That was a miracle. This shows Satan can perform miracles to deceive and tempt people as he tried to do to Jesus( Matthew 4:1-4). But as Christians, we should pray for the Spirit of discernment.
- God is the only one with the solutions to all human problems: In Exodus 7:9-11;22, Pharaoh’s magicians tried to work out miracles but they failed. The only explanation to that is “God is the most powerful”. God used Moses and Aaron to demonstrate His unlimited power to Pharaoh. God can do all things (Jeremiah 32:27). God is brighter than our darkest nights and stronger than our toughest fight. His power is greater than every other power on earth, in Heavenly places and underneath the earth.
- Pride goes before a fall : Lucifer( Satan) was the brightest Morningstar. He was relegated to the bottomless pit because of his pride. As Christians, we should not boast of any of our achievements because only God can make a man a success. Pharaoh was proud and stubborn. He didn’t obey God. His stubbornness and pride resulted in his destruction in the Red Sea with his soldiers. God can not share His glory with any man. Pride is a way of taking God’s glory. (1st Peter 5:5- God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble)
- Lastly, your attitude can limit God’s move in your life: When Moses first spoke to Pharaoh about releasing the Israelites, the King became furious and increased their work. To the Israelites, it was like they were going from frying pan to fire. They did not put their trust in God…FAITH. Faith in God is not believing God can but knowing God will. When we have faith in God and His Word, we can enjoy the supremacy of His power. Faith is like the currency to get something from God. Our Faith increases as we read, study and meditate on the Word of God. Also listening to the testimonies of believers. God is interested in your problems, He cares for you and He understands how you’re feeling. Jesus felt what you’re feeling thousands of years back. He understands. Through Faith and obedience to God’s Word, you can tap From God’s unlimited power.
