Nothing that happens in your life is insignificant. God uses all of it to mold you for your ministry to others and shape you for your service to him. ~ Rick Warren

Notes from Mayowa: This includes the ‘mistakes’ you have made. The challenges you have faced. The vomit that you felt yourself constantly going back to. If it didn’t happen to you, how will you really be able to help others that it is happening to now? How will you be able to advice others before they make the mistakes you did. The truth is, people are more willing to hear from someone that has undergone the same experiences as them or similar experiences. Because they know the person that has lost someone knows what she is talking about when she tells you, you will be fine! It will get better. The person that has had abortion is able to tell you that God gives redeeming love and the abortion you had does not define you. Jesus has paid the price for your sin and it’s now a clean state. You can forgive yourself and move on. The person that has had an affair will be able to tell you that a fling or moments of pleasure is not worth losing eternity over and it’s not worth making your partner unhappy. He will tell you that the grass is actually not greener on the other side. Pay attention to your own grass and take care of it, so it becomes the best kind of grass your heart waters for. The person that has failed will tell you you will fail more, but it’s in those failures that you will finally find success and it’s those failures that will build you and prepare you for success. We pass through things so we can hold the touch for others. Your ministry might lack the spark needed if you didn’t pass through some of the things you passed through. Nothing is insignificant in the kingdom of God including those things you have done that makes you want to rip your heart out of your chest. God uses it all, but you have to be the one to turn them over to him and let him use them.
