Good morning readers and lovers! I know Mayowa has already wished you a Happy New Month, but from me, oluwabukola, I welcome you into the month of September. A Month of favour and a month where you will activate your faith and command things to be. You are the child of a supreme being and in this month, you must act like one. This is the final episode. If you are just joining us and you missed the first two episodes, you can check them here: part 1 and part 2
Have a beautiful day!
“…the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).
“…and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1John 5:4).
“….all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23).
“For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24 NET).
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us; And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him” (1John 5:14-15).
You would then agree with me that in light of this, faith is an assurance, it’s the privilege of boldness which we have in Him. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).
There are operational steps of faith:
Finding the word: faith is established on the basis of a revealed word of God. Without establishing any action on the word of God there is no faith. It is mandatory to find and search the word out, you can only see the evidence in the word. The word is essential or else your proclamation will become noise. Sit and locate the word, search out the necessary conditions around that word and afterwards stand on the word which is your proclamation. Search, search and research until you find what you’re looking for. With the help of the Bible, concordance and other anointed books which are the physical helps. The spiritual help is the Holy Spirit (the principal help); through our fellowship, the word of God in us increases.
Meditating upon the word: for every word of God you find, you have to meditate on it. Ponder and integrate the word into your life and let it come alive in you. Until the word enters into you, it cannot provoke result. Reasoning fertilizes the eggs of desire and conception takes place.
Saying the word: the way to deliver faith is through the mouth. Until you speak it out, believe in it, encourage yourself with it, the Word might not really materialize. If you don’t encourage yourself, people will discourage you. Keep speaking the word to establish your believe, declaration fertilizes your faith. David made an exuberant declaration of his faith saying: “the Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”(Psalms 27:1). Know that God is not a liar. When you go through a trial of faith, you may express faith but, it may not yield any immediate result don’t let this topple your faith in God. Every good word the Lord has spoken to you has a day of fulfillment. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent; hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19).
Walking the word: let the word be seen all around you. This is the application of the word you located and believe that the word has already worked for you. A pastor once gave an account of an act of faith he showed which worked wonders for him. Someone came to his office, then in the 90’s to sell seat covers. He asked the man for seat cover for Mercedes Benz which was a big car then. His colleagues thought he was crazy as he had no car. But he acted on faith, believing that which he already asked God for would come to pass. He bought his first car not long after that and it was Mercedes Benz. All along, God just needed him to walk like the word was already manifesting.
Rejoicing in the word: Why not rejoice like you have gotten it even if you have not? You know God can never fail and He inhabits the praises of His people. “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high place………” (Habakkuk 3:17-19).
What are the enemies of faith?
These things do not promote Faith. Being just a hearer and not a dower of the word can also hinder your faith. Jesus spoke of a parable of the sower in the book of Luke 8:4-15. You can read the whole bible passage but the one I really want to point out is Verse 15. He spoke about those that hear the word, keep in their heart not for a while but for a long time and through the word, bring out good fruits. That’s how I want us to be. Don’ resist the word of God and please, don’t because of the pursuit of the ephemeral things in the world, lose sight of God’s word and of your faith in his word. Bitterness, un-forgiveness, anger, strife, jealousy, envy and the likes can hinder your growth spiritually and it can make you not get the things you ask from God. It’s important to note that your heart has to be pure and right before God. You must also let love work through you as faith works by love as well as hope. Galatians 5:6 says: “for in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love”.
You can retain your faith by constantly seeking the face of God, keeping your relationship with HIM constant. Darling, disregard the challenges, refuse to give up. Study to show yourself approved and find a quiet place regularly where you can communicate with God. Also, work towards having a still mind constantly where you can hear the still voice of God. May God help us.
Please, pray for his Nation and the world at large. Remember you can share your testimony on this page and if you have any questions, you can send me a mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
